McNicholas Family Drive

Three years ago, The McNicholas Family was just a typical Havertown family. They loved their community, gave back through volunteering, and were well known and loved by their neighbors. Kyle and her husband, Nick, were enjoying being parents to their 6 children and their grandchild and were active and engaged members of the community. But tragedy struck this happy family when Nick suffered a debilitating stroke in September 2023. Nick spent 52 days in ICU and months in rehabilitation before returning home in February 2024, but, sadly, Nick passed away in March 2024. Kyle was left to raise her children on her own while trying to navigate their grief, along with her own. It has been a struggle, and the family needs our help - perhaps now more than ever before.
This traumatic experience has taken its toll on Kyle and the children. Kyle's adult daughter and college-aged son have been a tremendous support, but there are four boys at home , ranging in age from 8-19, that Kyle must provide and care for. She has taken a leave from work so she can finally focus on her own healing, and she needs the support of our community. As the boys are preparing to return to school, they are in need of back to school clothes and supplies. The family would benefit greatly from assistance with groceries, household goods, and other essential needs that can help the family dig out from some bills that have been piling up.
Let's come together to lift this family! Through the support of our CUH community, Kyle's family can start the school year off strong, without worrying about all of the added expenses of "Back to School." Please give a little or a lot - every donation will go directly to Kyle to help her navigate this new world for her family.
